Sea Captain’s House is a Myrtle Beach institution since 1974, and it’s one of the few upscale oceanfront restaurants that genuinely welcomes dogs on their expansive patio. Order the fried shrimp platter (a house specialty) or fresh catch of the day—everything is prepared with care. The oceanfront seating means your dog gets to people-watch while you watch the water. Dinner is lively and crowded, so arrive early or come for a late-afternoon happy hour (4–6 PM) when the patio is slightly more relaxed. The service can be slow on busy weekends, but the food and atmosphere more than make up for it.
